Design Tips
- Pay attention to the non-printable margins. Most common household printers can't print all the way to the edge of a sheet. During the design process, keep those in mind so you don't wind up with white borders along some of your sides. Not sure what your non-printable margin measurements are? - Bold colors, big headlines, and an easy-to-read font will help your door hanger be seen from the driveway and keep it from become cluttered.
- When applicable, use pictures to convey what would normally take sentences of copy. Pictures are more visually stimulating and can help get your message across faster. But, be sure they're high resolution and there aren't too many busing your design or they can work against you.
- Make sure to prominently feature contact information such as your phone number, email address, and website URL so that new and existing customers can easily contact you from their preferred medium.
- Promote one thing and one thing only. Too many messages can confuse your consumer and rather than draw them in, it may push them away. If you have more than one message to convey, make them separate campaigns and run them one after another as opposed to both at once.
