Can you write on these labels with a regular ink pen?

You would not be able to use a regular ink pen on the Weatherproof Polyester for Laser. A Sharpie or other permanent marker could be used, however, but samples would be recommended. are these comparable to AVERY 5523?

The OL125 can be used with Avery's 5523 template. The OL125LP is also a weatherproof material like Avery's 5523 but does not have the TrueBlock® opaque backing. What is the shelf life for unprinted labels (ie. - How long can they be inventoried before use and retain their adhesive and waterproof properties?)

Our label materials usually have a shelf life of 1-3 years depending on environmental and storage conditions such as heat and humidity. We recommend keeping the sheets in the plastic clamshell in which they are shipped, in a climate controlled room with low humidity. Are these a paper label or a vinyl label?

Product OL125LP (4" x 2" white weatherproof labels for laser printing) is on a poly material. The polyester is a plastic-like material. It is a very durable material and is intended for situations where the label will be exposed to moist or wet conditions. I’m looking to use this material for my product line. I would really like to know what printer people have had success with and possible setting you’ve used as well

While we haven't had the opportunity to test every specific printer model in house, we have found that many of the popular models from Hewlett-Packard, Epson, and Canon brand printers work well with our materials. We've also received customer feedback supporting this as well. When shopping for a printer we would recommend checking the printer model's specifications to ensure it is able to handle specialty label materials. You may also want to consider the printer's printable area since many printers have at least one non-printable margin which will prevent it from being able to print to the edge of the sheet, or the edge of the label if the margins are narrow. A paper type settings such as Labels, Cardstock, or Transparency should improve toner fusion and prevent any smudging or flaking.
