The weatherproof gloss is one of our most durable inkjet label materials. It's designed to withstand direct contact with moisture. Certain types of chemicals and oils may affect the print quality to some degree, but it should work well for your application.

My products have coconut oil in them. Sometimes they leak. Would this be your best label choice for resisting oil stains?

Yes - I do feel this product would be the best choice if you are planning to print onto the labels with a laser printer. The White Polyester Weatherproof Labels for Laser Printers are made of a very durable material and the material itself will not break down when exposed to oil. You should be able to wipe the oil right off the polyester material. That being said, the toner that is printed onto the label from your laser printer may react to the oil and could possibly stain or discolor slightly changing the look of the label. I highly recommend that you try product OL1905LP before purchasing to confirm that you are happy with the performance and look of the labels on your product. I want to buy multiple versions but under 100 sheets. How do I mix and match but still have the same discounted price?

The quantity discount that you see for 100 sheets can only be applied to one product. Ordering quantities other than 100 or 250 sheets of a product require special packaging and will have a higher price per sheet.

Will these stick on clothes well?

The Standard White Matte (WX) labels do feature a permanent adhesive that works well on a myriad of surfaces. Although the adhesive is permanent, it should remove easily from fabric.

Will these work as permanent outdoor labels on apartment meters?

Accepted Answer

For outdoor applications we recommend trying samples of our weatherproof materials which are very durable and water resistant. However, the ink and toner used in standard inkjet and laser printers is not likely to be UV resistant. Exposure to direct sunlight for an extended period of time could cause the colors to fade. For best results, adjust the material type setting in your printer options to a Labels, Photo, or Glossy setting. You may also want to consider a UV resistant spray which can help minimize fading.

Would these be able to be removed easily from a heavy plastic bag?

Plastic bags can be a challenging surface to label. The Standard White Matte (WX) material is designed with a permanent adhesive and may not be able to be cleanly removed from a plastic bag. You may have better success with our Removable White Matte (WR) material for this type of application.

Do these labels stick to plastic freezer bags?

The Weatherproof Polyester Laser (LP) is a very durable, water resistant material that also features a strong adhesive. It can be used in freezer and refrigerated applications. The recommended surface temperature for application is +25° F, however, once applied it can withstand temperatures from -40° F to +302° F.

Having an issue with label peeling up off of my product after sitting (even tried applying a little heat which normally does the trick) Right now I’m currently using removable white vinyl and that works perfectly fine. Im looking for an alternative, any ideas? It’s going around an oil brush pen.

There are a few factors that can affect adhesion and techniques we use to help so we've included those recommendations below:

-Clean your hands and the application surface. Any debris, dust, moisture, or natural oils can interfere with the adhesive, weakening the bond.
-Apply the center of the label first and then work out toward the edges. This reduces some of the tension on the ends of the label which will help it stay down.
-Use pressure when sticking the labels to your surface. Our products are pressure-sensitive, so more pressure equates to a stronger adhesive bond.
