We have used this in our Xerox laser and it has caused a lot of issues with static electricity that builds up and also the heat it causes. This causes a lot of paper jams with this stock and others that are printing on plain paper. I have tried various setting from plain to label to heavy weight stock. Is there a laser printer the you can recommend that works well with this stock? The stock works well for us, so we'd like to keep using it.

Label sheets consisting of a plastic facestock, such as our weatherproof and clear materials, are more prone to static buildup than standard paper-based materials. If you find that using the plain or unspecified paper type setting does not resolve the issue, try manually feeding the label sheets through your printer. Another option to alleviate the issue would be to lay the stack of sheets down on a hard, flat surface and then fan through the sheets at all four edges. This should separate the sheets and allow some of the static electricity to dissipate.

Can I use pencil, pen, or marker on this material?

You can use a permanent marker like a Sharpie on the Clear Matte for Inkjet. Regular pens and pencils work best on uncoated paper based materials like the Standard White Matte.

The face stock (label material) caliper 2.0 mil ± 10%. The liner (backing) caliper is 3.5 mil ± 10%. The total thickness (face stock + adhesive + liner) is 6.5 mil ± 10%. Question 4

Is this label okay for a freezer? I need a label to put on packaging that will be in a case in a freezer. I also need to write on it so the polyester fabric is not suitable. I need a large label. Thanks for your help.

Although the Aggressive White Matte is an uncoated, paper based material, it did test well with freezer applications. The Clear Matte for Inkjet is a transparent material with a frosted appearance and a permanent adhesive. We do not offer A4 or A3 sheets sizes on our U.S. site but our U.K. site does offer these. Question 6

I would like to print color decals or stickers that are waterproof and can be placed on an item without it smearing or running.  I will then cut it on a cricut machine.  Is this product white background or clear?

The Weatherproof Gloss for Inkjet is white. Although we do have a clear gloss and clear matte material for inkjet printers, these are not considered waterproof. For best results, make sure to adjust the printer's material type setting to a Photo or Glossy option. This should prevent smearing with dry and wet contact on the Weatherproof Gloss for Inkjet.

Question 7

What does “aggressive” mean? Is this a waterproof vinyl? I love the quality of waterproof vinyl, but can’t find one to use in my inkjet first, and then run it through my laser to get some laser toner on top for foiling later. Waterproof seems to always be either inkjet or laser, never both....?

The Aggressive White Matte is an uncoated, paper-based material like our Standard White Matte but has a much stronger adhesive. We do not have a vinyl material for both laser and inkjet, however we do offer the Weatherproof Vinyl for Laser. Question 9

I use quite a bit of your material for use with graphics being applied to objects. The question I have for this material is is that suitable for adhesion to Circular tumblers that are pre painted or stainless steel. It needs to be permanent once applied even if it has to be heated with a heat gun. I get a lot of requests for these in lieu of using a silkscreen method which is probably much more permanent than anything else. Also I need to know if it will adhere to vinyl leather type material as well for portfolios.

Our Standard White Matte (WX) has a permanent adhesive that works well on most surfaces but we have not tested it with painted tumblers or vinyl leather applications. Question 10

I am trying to make skins for my Disney Magic Band.  I like them sort of glossy, I want to print on laser and cut them on silhouette. Which product is best for that?  I don't wear it in water but it may get wet with hand washing.
